The animated movie “The rats” is structured from a series of unique situations – that act like metaphors about the life of rats and men.
The narrative is played like a game where the spectator finds out more and more about the said game episode upon episode.

“The rats” is now streaming online and in running in cinemas at short movie competitions around the world.

We came up with the idea for “The rats” at a flea market. There we found out an old trap that could trap several mice side by side. This led to a ponder on why would an animal go against its instincts and dare to try/ explore something that holds a stench of death.

From there we came up with comparisons with other events in men’s and mice’s life that would correlate with that idea.

The result is more than producing answers poses a few timeless questions.
